A Soul Reflection for Mothers Rising Through the Fog
As mothers — especially those of us raising children with different abilities — life can feel like it’s happening all around us, to us, and sometimes against us. The chaos, the schedules, the worry, the grief, the love, the guilt, the invisible labor — it piles up until it’s hard to breathe.
But what if… we’ve been trying to navigate it all from the basement?
In our latest Soul Care Sunday, we explored the metaphor of the Skyscraper Soul — a vision of your inner self as a tall building, filled with many floors of experience, emotion, and growth. And too often, we get stuck on the lower floors, replaying old traumas or responding to our present with the pain of our past.
But healing lives on the higher floors.
Through guided breathwork and meditation, we rose to the Sky Deck — the highest level of our soul where clarity replaces chaos. From this height, our lives look different. Our past stops defining us. Our children's diagnoses no longer feel like limitations — they become invitations to deepen our love and expand our perspective.
We asked two powerful questions:
How am I benefitting from holding on to my painful past?
How can I begin to see my present and future with new eyes?
These aren’t easy questions. But they’re necessary.
Because the truth is: you are not your past. You are the elevation. And your soul already knows how to rise.
